430 am cst wed feb 10 2010 ...another round of winter weather to move into the state thursday and friday... a storm system will develop across texas tonight, and move along the gulf coast thursday. with cold air already in place, winter precipitation is expected. however, due to the track of this system, snow amounts will be highest in the southern half of the state. precipitation will start out as a sleet and snow mix thursday across southwest arkansas. as the low moves east, snowfall will continue to move northeast across much of the natural state thursday night. snowfall amounts will range from a dusting in areas north of little rock, to less than an inch across central arkansas. across southern arkansas, accumulations may reach up to two inches, with the highest amounts across the southern counties. snowfall depends highly on the track of the system, and will continue to be updated in later forecasts. stay tuned to later forecasts from your national weather service regarding this winter weather system. $$ 58
